  1. I don’t know much about real estate investing. Should I still join? Is this all going to be over my head?

Many of our members have done three (3) or less real estate deals. Many have not done any yet. Sometimes our members find and buy their first personal home through their newly gained knowledge. There are many that do a dozen or more a year. If you are still in the exploratory stage of real estate investing, joining
I R C is a great thing to do. Understanding the theory of real estate investing is important.
Understanding how it works in our particular market is crucial.
I R C puts you in touch with real people in our real marketplace who are making this all work. You have the opportunity to hear local experts talk on areas of interest to the membership. How else are you going to learn from all the pros in town? How else can you efficiently build a profitable team of consultants? We also have national speakers come to town to teach. One of the central purposes of our Association is education. Take advantage of it. Especially if you are just starting out.
The networking in our Association is priceless. We have a number of Vendors who give
I R C members significant discounts. The local, start, and national laws are constantly changing. I R C will keep you up to date on all the latest changes that effect every aspect of real estate.

  3. Are all of your General meetings and Workshops at the Winter Park Civic Center?

No. Be sure to check our Calendar in the newsletter and website to get up to date listings on program events, times, meeting places, costs, and features. S I G Meetings are held at several locations around Central Florida and are at regular locations.

  5. I have a specialized knowledge or skills and would like to speak at one of your General Membership, SIG Group meetings or Workshops. Is this possible?

Sure! We are always looking for people with legitimate expertise in our local market to inform our members on different areas of need and interest. The presentation must be educational and not a sales pitch. Our membership has first choice on the speaking opportunities. It is easier to speak at our S I G Group meetings than at a General Meeting and there are more opportunities. You should contact our S I G Group Director listed in the Newsletter and discuss your topic and background.

  7. My website password is not working. Why?

The “Members Only Resources” sections of this website are some of the best resources on our site; be sure you are a current dues paying member so you can access them all. Each month we will change the password. All current, paid dues members will be informed of the change. If your password is no longer working, you have an old password. Check to make sure your dues are current.

  9. I can’t download and / or view some of the website content. What’s wrong?

The problem is likely not with the website, unless the entire site is shut down. While we have attempted to limit the technology of this site, keeping it as simple and inclusive as possible, there will always be some people whose software and hardware are significantly behind the times. If this is the case with you, and you have not updated your hardware and / or software in at least the last eighteen months, you may not be able to access all that we have to offer. Are you still on dial up? Go to broadband. Consider upgrading your systems. Each year, you will fall further and further behind not only what we offer, but also what is available to you through the entire web. It would be a shame to miss such excellent resources.

  13. How can I share my success story?

If you have done a deal, and you would like to share it, we certainly encourage that! It can be a big deal, or a small deal. (To us, each of our member’s successes, no matter how big, are big deals! We are proud of your success, and we encourage you to share it for the benefit of others.) We are all here to learn from each other and to be inspired by each other. Please consider taking the time to give your “Deal of the Month” at the next meeting.

We understand that this can take some time to outline. A good success story should include:
    • How you found the deal
    • How you funded the deal
    • Your plan for the deal
    • How the deal did or did not go according to plan
    • How you made money off the deal
    • What you learned from the deal
    • How I R C helped you do the deal, either directly or indirectly.

That will be very easy. You should contact the I R C Director of the Newsletters . The phone number is available in the “The RESource” or on this website. Ask about any other opportunities to give your firm more exposure at the meetings, on the website and the RESource.
